The following reflection is attached to the back of the painting on laminated card stock.

Spring Delights

Every year excitement is felt as soft pussy willows make their debut. Childhood memories surface, adding depth to the joy felt for these spring delights. Pussy willows paired with fresh spring blooms act as a segue to the joy that will be experienced when the land awakens once again!

My inspiration for this piece is based on the beautiful art of Japanese Flower Arranging called Ikebana. Ikebana is so beautiful with its peaceful and elegant arrangements. I love the simplicity of some of the arrangements, although some can be quite involved as well.

Pussy willows continue to be one of my favorite spring blooms . I have such fond memories of picking pussy willows in childhood. I loved their furry texture and pretended to hear them mew! My love for them has never waned!

The little bowl was purchased awhile ago. I have to tie my hands behind my back when I am looking at bowls. I definitely have an obsession with bowls!
