Visitors Unseen
It is a cooler summer morning. A cloud cover spreads across the sky allowing glimpses of clear pockets to appear intermittently. A haze mutes distant colors creating a moody grayed effect. There is a feeling of anticipation today; I sense that I am not alone. It is a bit unsettling, knowing that I am alone, but feeling like I am not. The mind lends itself to an amazing array of possibilities of what visitors are with me today. Taming the mind of its vast imagination is what presents a challenge. Remember as children feeling a sense of presence and the fury of one’s imagination. Nightfall was the instigator and only sleep could resolve the mind’s escapades.
