A Majestic Presence
I have discovered a new painting location in the middle of the woods. The expanse of sky and land before me bring contentment. A tall spruce tree majestically reigns over the surrounding space. It speaks of seasons past and its survival of long winters. As the sun lowers in the sky a hazy glow drapes over distant hills; while golden light strokes edges of foliage and peeks through small pockets of space.
There is a chill in the air as autumn’s voice begins to hum. It brings cooler mornings and evenings, but allows summer’s warmth to visit during late afternoons. Our winged friends begin to flutter by as they prepare for nightfall. There is a lapse of time as one season prepares for the next.
