A Sea of Pink
It was an unexpected surprise to discover a sea of rose bushes sprinkled throughout this wooded area. The breeze gently mingles amongst the foliage creating a rustling that reminds me of ocean sounds. A dance has begun as the motion creates flicks of light to move over trees and foliage; while slats of light and shadows drape over trunks and limbs.
It is delightful to see splatters of pink roses amongst the endless sea of summer greens. Their presence is cheerful and elegant as they bounce and sway throughout this patch of woods. They seem to rejoice in summer’s easy flow, reminding us to take time and connect with what soothes our soul; nudging one to seek a quiet mental space that allows rejuvenation and clarity.

Mmmm…I can smell the wild roses. Although I’m sure I’ve never been there before, it feels so familiar. Beautiful, Deb!
I am so glad to hear it feels familiar Susan! It is one of my favorite spots to paint and roses are my all time favorite flower.
