Evening Flight
As the sun dips in the sky the air has become much cooler. A warm glow drapes over the scene before me. In the distance seagulls happily scatter amongst the sand bar enjoying the last bit of light. It is remarkable how long they can just sit. Time is of no essence as one day merges into the next.
I especially enjoy watching them as they soar into the sky while flecks of light shimmer on their wings. I can sense a feeling of nesting as the night approaches. We sometimes forget to acknowledge how lucky we are to be safely tucked away in our comforting homes. There we are safe and secure from the outside elements.
