I was drawn to this old homestead for its nostalgic appeal. It is reminiscent of a simpler way of life; void of the many distractions we are presented with today. It is such a tranquil setting and brings to mind my many trips to rural Cape Breton as a child. Recalling memories of happy days where one marched in time with nature. Free from worry and commitments we danced joyfully with nature; moving in symphony with her easy disposition as she guided us to make our many discoveries. Time seemed endless as we acted as detectives in nature’s mystery of wonders.
