Center Stage
Center Stage occurred from a happy sequence of events
that resulted in a glorious presentation. My dad, a master gardener, nurtured a group of geraniums to a state of floral profusion. Separate from the geraniums in another corner of the garden he grew a mass of nasturtiums from seed in an old wooden barrel. By and by he came to set the many containers of geraniums in front of the barrel of nasturtium. My mom quickly saw the potential of a floral presentation that would take center stage. Together they dug small holes in the soil and gently placed pots of flowers before the barrel. Thus, the two floral arrangements that had lived separately for a time became one, uniting in a union that brought a smile to all who viewed their combined beauty.

Thanks Susan! I loved painting this one and the idea of how it came to be.
