Bearing the Weight

It is a still fall evening. The evening light has begun to cast deep shadows and golden areas of light. I have always been fascinated with the golden glow that drapes over the land as the sun dips in the sky. It is a warm light that adds drama to any subject it touches. Apples are in abundance as they cluster amongst each other. Curves are accentuated as the weight of the apples create arcs in their accompanying branches. There is a compromise here as the branches take second place to the glory of the fruit presented. So often it is easy to forget those who quietly work behind the scenes to create goodness for others. If one looks deeper they will find small gems amidst us all.

You have truly captured the light in this one, the warmth of the meadow. Lovely. Congrats on such a lovely painting.

I want to live inside your paintings Debbie . This one is very special to me – I once had a dream ; I found myself in the most beautiful valley , barefoot , with wildflowers everywhere and dewy grass under my feet , the sky was so blue and devoid of even a single cloud , and up yonder way to my left , I saw a tree – just like this one …I thought to myself : ” This is my tree , and I will sit under this tree and be happy for all eternity .” I love this painting , and I love trees :) I hug them :)
