A Dash of Brilliance
It has been an unusually warm autumn day. Slats of light drape vividly across the field, skirting around scattered stacks of hay. I am amazed at how quickly the vegetation has begun to exhibit the affects of fall’s arrival. Color changes have begun to occur. Even the predominantly green leaves display hints of orange and red. When called upon nature knows how to add brilliance to summer’s growth. She begins to dazzle vegetation with color and light before the autumn rains scatter her brilliance to the ground. Only a memory of her lushness will remain, while winter dormancy prevails.
