Arrival In August
August has arrived bringing with it an abundance of glistening red berries. I continue to be totally enchanted by their presence year after year. They seem so regal amongst the greenery dangling from bent twigs. Our small winged friends rejoice in their offering. Especially during cold fall days and the scattering of berries left when winter days arrive. Nature makes preparations in advance for her inhabitants. A small hummingbird whizzes and hovers before my eyes. She too cannot resist the lure of the crimson bushes.
